Explanation on Centre Fire & Rim Fire Rifles
If you are just starting out with the sport of hunting, there are essential things that you should know in order to enjoy the sport properly. These things would include different knowledge of the field regarding various factors such as clothing, techniques and places to go. However, the most important of all would be adequate knowledge on weapons.
One of the essential weapons for hunting would be rifles. This is why you should get to know the main difference with each kind along with their advantages and disadvantages. For starters, you might always encounter the term Centre fire and rim fire with regard to rifles. So what exactly is the deal between the two? Read on and learn.
What’s The Deal With The Two?
If you’re wondering why these two are important, it is because these are the main types of rifles and one way or another, you would have to choose between the two of them, or have both. Although there have been other methods of cartridge priming, these are the only two that have survived through time.
What Are Rim Fire Rifles?
Rim fire rifles are basically rifles that use the rim fire type of ammunition. So in general, when the term “rim fire” is used, this pertains to a kind of firearm cartridge. It’s called so because rather than having the firing pin strike the cartridge’s primer cap, which can be found at its base’s center, to ignite it; the pin would have to strike the base’s rim.
This kind of cartridge’s rim is essentially a widened and percussion cap that contains the cartridge’s priming compound. Also, the cartridge’s case itself contains propellant powder along with the projectile bullet. As soon as the cartridge’s rim is struck and the bullet is discharged, the cartridge could not be reloaded anymore, since its head would have been deformed by the impact of the firing pin.
Because of the thin casing of Rimfires, they are limited in having low pressure calibers. Nowadays, you can only find caliber .22 (5.5 mm) and smaller for this type. Because of these low pressures, it means that they could be very light and most of all, inexpensive too. Such kind of characteristics became a factor to its popularity, which until now continues.
What Are Center Fire Rifles?
A centre fire rifle, on the other hand, would be a rifle that uses the centre fire type of cartridge. This cartridge would have its primer located at its cartridge case head’s centre; unlike with rim fires where the primer would be a replaceable and separate component.
This type of cartridge has replaced rimfire types in all categories except for the smallest sized cartridges. Except for low-powered .17 and.22 caliber cartridges, and a number of antiques, all modern rifles, pistols and shotguns have centre fire ammunition.
The advantage of this type is that it could be reused after you replace the projectile, primer, and gunpowder. This would be a great advantage for rifle types that use obsolete or hard to find cartridges like the 6.5×54 Mannlicher or the .458 Lott, which has quite expensive ammunition can. These are also generally larger in size and have the capability of having higher powered loads. They are more powerful because they could hold higher pressures compared to rim fire cartridges. Hence, they are also much efficient in regard to their size. If you’ll be using this for target shooting, then you may find them to be expensive. However, if you’ll be using it for large game hunting, then you could definitely benefit from it.
Search Inmate Records Online to Find Someone in Prison
If you want to find someone who is in prison, it is not very difficult. All prisoners are documented and you can find him through a public records search. The public records can be accessed through the internet and through search engines. Or you can hire a private detective or an agency to find out. All states keep a record of prisoners and you can easily find out the details.
You can find someone in prison through a search of prison records and offender record. The state correctional institution, the county jails and prisons record the inmates and you can search for prison inmates, prisoners, and offenders through them. They usually list the names in alphabetical order for you to find it easily.
You can search inmate records online and easily find people who are in prison. All states have websites which keep these prison records and can be accessed by anyone free of cost. For example the Alabama Prison Inmates Locator will be able to locate a person who is in prison in Alabama. Similarly prison inmates in Alaska or Arizona can be found through the Alaska Department of Corrections and Arizona Prison Inmate Locator. Most states have similar sites where prison public records can be found. Only California has done away with the prison locator and the Prison Inmate Information can give the details. However, searching through these websites can become quite time consuming and if you don’t know what to look for it gets even harder to find the criminal records of people in prison.
Hate Crimes – Gay Discrimination in Schools
Though apartheid is already a far outcry these days, being rejected by countries and societies earlier this century, the often small, invisible cases of bullying and discrimination are ever present in schools. Usually, they slipped away and often go unnoticed.
At present, violence against teen gays is increasing. According to a 2005 survey conducted by the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network, more than 64 percent of gay and lesbian students have reported physical, verbal and sexual harassment in school, while 29 percent of the students missed a day in class because they fear for their safety.
Those vocal, openly gay students earn most of the bullies’ brunt and later become victims of abuse. In a 2008 incident at Oxnard, California, Larry King, a 15-year old, eighth-grader, openly gay student was shot in the head by a 14-year old student, Brandon Mclnerney. King was often a subject of humiliation in their junior high school because of the fact that he was gay and comfortable in showing it, wearing high heels and make-up in school. However, King never showed defeat and instead fired back at the boys by either flirting or chasing them in school.
According to another eighth-grader witness by the name of Eduardo Segure, a day before the shooting, a boys’ love had been expressed. It was King saying he liked Mclnerney, which may have threatened his ego and self-identity. Jaana Juvonen, a psychology professor, said that it is possible for Mclnerney to feel threatened when King expressed to him.
With all these happening, the public wondered what schools actually do to educate students about discrimination and tolerance. Hate messages everywhere usually preceding attacks. Although school officials have met with gay activists after the incident to review the school’s tolerance program, they could have done something earlier to prevent it from happening. In fact, Jay Smith of the Ventura County Rainbow Alliance even questioned whether teachers are ready and knowledgeable on how to deal with gay teen issues such as boys’ love.
The incident has fueled the outrage again of gay rights activists and has been condemned as well by nearby communities. The killing of King led to vigils and a 1,000-people march. Apart from this, the incident has drawn the attention of the nation like the killings too of some other gay students such as Brandon Teena, the Nebraskan transsexual whose story was featured in a film entitled, “Boy’s Don’t Cry” and Matthew Shepard in Wyoming. Well-known lesbian TV host, Ellen DeGeneres, gave her sympathy and support. She said that she’s not a second class citizen, so as King and it’s OK to be gay.
True, the boys’ love issue can heat up arguments and can be a threat to any guy. However, it is not enough reason to kill let alone when someone expresses sexual preference by the clothes one wears or how one looks like. What are needed are more understanding, tolerance and eventually acceptance from the public.
Rape – Problems and Solutions
Rape is a social evil that has reached explosive proportions. It has ruined many lives and continues to do so at a frenetic pace. No one is immune, and age is no bar. From infants to senior citizens to corpses, rape has become a diabolic symbol of power in an iniquitous world. In USA, a rape occurs every two minutes; In India, every 54 minutes, and in Pakistan, every three hours. The tragedy is that 80% are perpetrated by fathers, brothers, relatives or friends. Six out of ten occur in the home or in the home of a relative or friend. The story of an Austrian father, who raped his daughter for 24 years, and sired seven children through her, is still fresh in our minds.
Though rape occurs in all social groups, it is more frequent among minority groups with low social status. A molester need not necessarily be a sleazy character. He may be well educated, well groomed and have a high standing in society such as a judge, government official, policeman or priest. Even doctors have been known to rape patients in their clinics. The rapist may be of any age from an old man to a young teenager. The increasing trend of raping minors by force or through allurements is frightening. Children of 14 years or lower, have been known to rape their classmates, and kill them out of fear of being caught.
Reasons for under reporting:
A habitual rapist may molest about 8-10 women before being caught. As conviction rates are only about 2%, many cases go unreported.
o Most women fear the stigma attached to rape, especially when the Law does not convict the rapist. They become secretive and even believe that they are in some way guilty.
o Lack of faith in the judicial system: Many times the court puts the victim on trial, questioning her about her morality, and probing into her sexual history. When a constable in Mumbai raped a 15 year old rag picker the judge proclaimed, “She is a rag picker and of no consequence.”
Because of such perverse reasoning and warped sense of justice, many judges pass it off as an ‘act of passion’ and award minimum sentence.
Also, legal battles are long and tiresome. The onus of proving rape falls on the victim.
o Fear of retaliation by the rapist or his goons.
o Fear of adverse reaction from society, parents, husbands, employers or peers.
o Fear of tarnishing the family image, especially when there are unwed female siblings.
One study showed that 43% of women are ignorant of the law; 23% are too shy to come forward; 12% are afraid of the police; 12% think complaining will not make a difference.
One young girl said, “I blame society for giving men the right to rape and regarding women’s suffering as unimportant. A rapist may get off with a light sentence, but the victim’s sentence is for life.”
What is rape?
It is a form of sexual sadism involving unlawful sexual penetration either by coercion, force, blackmail or under false promises. “I believe that whatever violates the integrity of a woman’s body should be considered rape,” says Brinda Karat, a women’s activist. “Sexual violence apart from being dehumanizing, is an unlawful intrusion of the right to privacy and sanctity of the female,” says Justice A. S. Anand.
Situations under which rape occurs:
- Custodial rape when a woman is in custody for some small offence.
- Child rape is the pastime of paedophiles. 1 in 5 children raped are below 15 years of age. Some don’t even spare infants in cradles.
- Casting couches are routine in the film or modeling industry. When a person is desperate for a job she becomes vulnerable.
- Date rape has been escalating. The assailant is usually known to the victim, and drugs the victim with GHB, Rophynol, Ketamine or some such drug. These drugs are in powder form or liquid and dissolve in any drink. These drugs make the victim physically helpless and incapable of resisting sex, also incapable of recalling the incident. Alcohol enhances the action of the drugs. No trace is found in the blood stream after 72 hours
- Aggravated rape is when a rapist introduces an instrument or foreign body into the victim, to build up his own orgasm.
- Marital rape which may not be recognized by the law.
“In marriage, the weakest, stupidest, insignificant men of the world receive licence to rape or beat their wives,” says Virginia Woolfe
- Necrophilia: The raping of corpses is common in certain tribes. Sometimes sexual perverts can also indulge in such activity.
Reasons why men rape?
- It gives men a sense of power, and is linked to their identity. Forcing a woman into sexual subjugation validates their manhood. They enjoy it.
- Lust in men who have not disciplined their impulses. Testosterone makes male libido flare out of control.
- Economic causes: In some communities the bride price may be too high. Poverty, low socioeconomic status, unemployment, lack of skills, make men vent their frustration through rape. The victim and rapist may live in the same area. Girls in inner cities have 1 in 70 chances of being raped, whereas in rich areas it may be 1 in 2000.
- In communities with strict codes of behaviour, where no mingling of sexes is allowed, repressed males give expression to their masculinity through rape.
- Antisocial and borderline personalities behave irresponsibly. This is enhanced by drugs and alcohol.
- Misogyny: Men who hate women commit violent crimes against them. Many have aggressive mothers and timid fathers. A mother’s verbal abuse may have given the man a poor self image. As an expression of anger against mother or sisters, he finds a victim who cannot defend herself or is mentally retarded, and rapes her.
- Men with poor self worth are convinced that no woman would voluntarily sleep with them. They are aroused by sexual fantasies and express themselves through rape.
- Revenge: When men are rejected or ignored, they feel insulted enough to use rape as a form of revenge.
- Growing Feminism: Women are breaking down every male bastion. They are becoming economically independent and upwardly mobile. Male bashing is occurring like never before. Assisted reproductive technology and genetic engineering make some men feel purposeless and disempowered. As a result they resort to rape.
- Sex Industry and Pornography incites men to treat women as commodities and humiliate them for their pleasure.
“Rape is nothing more or less than a conscious process of intimidation by which all men keep all women in a state of fear,” says Susan Brown Miller.
- Men have blamed women for flaunting their female attributes through indecent exposure, skimpy costumes and suggestive behaviour. This they say precipitates lust in men. Women refute this because rape occurs in small towns or villages where women dress modestly.
- Rape in war is sanctioned by the highest authorities as a means of demoralizing the social fabric of a nation, by impregnating their women. It is also supposed to relieve aggression and promote bonding among soldiers.
Effects of rape on the victim:
The Rape-Trauma syndrome is akin to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. It has two stages. The first is Disorganization due to the shock of rape. Fright, anger, guilt, and shame may follow. Reorganization is the second stage which gradually takes place over a period of 3-4 months. Sometimes it may take much longer. The victim feels vulnerable, timid, and not fully in control of her life. Residual Damage is what rape leaves in its wake. Depression, sexual dysfunction, vaginismus, fear of sexual interaction and inability to adjust socially are common. The person may take to alcohol or drugs to fight off fear and depression. A survivor of rape is nine times more likely to commit suicide. But if the victim gets immediate support and is able to ventilate her grief, fear or rage, the chances of recovery are greater.
Solutions to minimize rape in society:
o Education of the public by raising rape consciousness in society through education and awareness programmes. Men, politicians, police, judiciary and the general public should be sensitized about violence against women. New insights into sex roles are needed. Stereotype gender roles only make men more aggressive and women more vulnerable.
o Education of girls: Strong parental support will give girls a sense of security and belonging. They will have confidence to express their fears and anxieties. Parents should encourage their children to report to them incidents like physical proximity, inappropriate touching even if it is father, brother or relatives. Girls should be made aware of dangers lurking in society. 60% of teenagers have a tendency to act boldly and impulsively.
Women should also be made aware of the laws against rape and molestation. Male judges are too easy on rapists and too hard on victims. Because of such injustice, the law has been brought into disrepute. Trials must be time bound and punishment swift. Rape Crisis Centres should provide counseling and support to rape victims.
o Education of girl children should include specific “do’s” and “don’ts.” They should be told never to let a stranger within arm’s length, and never to accept sweets or toys from strangers; never to lead a stranger to some isolated place he wants to visit; to beware of over-friendliness. Children from unhappy homes are easy targets as they are starved for affection. Even van drivers who ferry children between school and home may take advantage of a friendly child. Teenagers may be lured by people who promise roles in films or in modeling. If attacked, the child should be told to drop on the ground and scream for help.
o Education of parents: The lines of communication between them and their children should always be tension-free. Many parents think that children are too young to be told about rape as it will frighten them unduly. Children must be made aware that there is a small number of wicked people in society.
Parents should also be alerted by sudden withdrawal, loss of appetite, nightmares or refusal to go to school, and investigate into the matter.
Parents should check the sites children visit on the Net and the type of books they read.
A child who is aware of dangers will be more likely to ward off a rapist. Vigilance is the solution.
How To Zero A Rifle Scope
You’ve just got yourself a new rifle scope, fitted it and let me guess…for some reason your shots are landing nowhere near the crosshairs?
Sadly there’s more to rifle scope sharp shooting than just plonking the scope on the rifle and forever after shooting like an SAS sniper! You have to “zero” it.
Think about it. It’s like a bike wheel. If you tighten the bolts wrong, too much on one side for example, it spins wrong and rubs the brake pads. It’s the same with a Rifle scope. If it’s not set up correctly it will be offline and even at short air rifle, airsoft and paintball ranges this is going to throw your accuracy right off. At longer ranges you’ll miss by a mile (well figuratively anyway!)
What Does “Zero a scope” mean?
Zeroing a sight or scope means getting the crosshair in position so that when you shoot. Ground zero if you like. The point of impact. There’s a lot of discussion amongst shooters on the best way to zero a scope or sight. What I’ve written below is what I’ve been sending out to my ebay scope buyers for the last year or so and received a lot of good comments back about it so I know it’s OK!
How to Zero a Rifle Scope
First of all you need to set a firm foundation by fitting the scope mounts well.
Put the scope mounts on the rifle first with the top brackets removed.
Tighten them into place using 1/2 turns at the time so that they sit solid and level as best as is possible, i.e., the downward pressure is as equal as possible. At this stage don’t tighten them fully as you might want to slide them up and down a little.
Now take scope and place it on top of the open rifle mounts. Make sure the windage and elevation turrets are one up and one to the right (these are the “turrets” on the sight. You use them later to make micro adjustments and in the field adjustments for wind)
Then put the top mount brackets on and tighten – Again use partial turns to tighten up. Don’t tighten fully at this stage, you may yet need to adjust a little.
Zero the scope
Lie in your normal shooting position and check that you can see through the scope well…
The distance between your eye and the rear scope lens is called Eye Relief.
Unlike cartoons you do not use a scope by pressing your eye up against the scope lens!
Once comfortable complete the screwing down of all mounts so that your set up is solid – take care at this stage to keep the final turns partial and one by one to ensure pressure is equal.
Now it’s time to zero the scope for shooting:
Load the rifle
Adopt your standard prone/lie down shooting position. Prone is the best way as if you test shoot from standing or kneeling positions you waver more and it’s harder to do a “true test”.
Put some sort of target in place at say 20 yards – or whatever you think your “standard” range will be.
Using cross hair on target centre – Take 2-3 shots – Where do do they fall in relation to where you want them to? Right, left, up, down – dead on (lucky you!)
2-3 shots is best as it will average out shooter inaccuracy and give you a more “significant” feel for how far or close you are from true zero.
Now it’s time to use the windage and elevation turrets to get it zeroed dead on. These are the 2 turrets on the top and right side of the scope. See my website for pictures.
Models vary, you’ll probably screw a cap off and expose either a coin twist or finger knurled type of dial.
The top turret adjusts up and down. The right one left and right.
If you have your scopes instructions they should have a table with figures to tell you what each click adjustment means in terms of cross hair movement at “x” distance, e.g., 1/8 inch at 100 metres.
Use single click turns and each time take a new shot to gauge where the shot now falls – the dials basically adjust the cross hair position up-down and left-right.
It’s trial and error basically but with testing you’ll get to where you need to be and be able to trust that your shots will go where it says they will! This may take some time and a lot of shots. Be patient!
Mental Health – How Does Someone Become Crazy?
Craziness starts with the invasion of the absurd content which exists in the wild side of the human conscience, however, how did this content become so absurd?
The first conscience had to face many problems and deceptions from the beginning of its existence. From deception to deception and from problem to problem, it became neurotic, hysterical, psychotic and then schizophrenic.
Now, let me show you with an example how someone starts becoming crazy.
First he is characterized by calm: he has only positive thoughts in his mind, courage, good disposition and honesty.
Then he is betrayed by someone, who also steals all his money.
Time passes, he manages to recuperate the money he lost by working very hard, when suddenly someone else betrays him again, and again steals all his money.
Time passes again and he makes money again and everything happens again: he loses everything because someone betrays him and steals all his money.
One day he appears on the front page of the local newspaper with the following headline: “Crazy man kills innocent boy only because he admired his wallet.” The story continues as follows: “The crazy man was paying for something he bought, when the boy saw his wallet and told him that it was very nice. The man looked at him with anger, started shaking and sweating. Then, he took his pistol from his pocket, killing the boy with a shot. He ran away so fast that nobody could catch him at that time of the afternoon, when only a few people were walking in the streets”.
What happened?
The crazy man became crazy because he lost everything many times and he considered the boy as if he was another thief.
Does it mean then that when someone faces recurring deceptions he or she will become crazy?
Yes and no: it depends on the level of domination of the wild side.
If the anti-conscience (wild conscience) hadn’t invaded the human side of the conscience of the man in our example, he would not be so violent. His reaction could be aggressive if he considered the boy a possible thief, but he would never come to the point of killing him for this reason.
The extreme violence expressed in cases of psychosis and schizophrenia has its roots in a very remote past, when the human conscience was starting to understand that it was alive and starting to think and desire many things.
It accumulated many aggressive reactions and became too violent. This is why after three serious deceptions, the man in our story, who inherited an absurd and wild conscience (anti-conscience), became a murderer.
He didn’t need to pass through several deceptions in his life in order to come to the point of becoming so violent, exactly because all this violence was already accumulated in the wild part of his conscience – he simply inherited this content like everyone. Depending on the psychological type of everyone and the conditions of their lives, this content may or may not appear in the conscious surface.
If you want to keep your mental health for life and eliminate the wild anti-conscience for sure by transforming it into a positive part of your human side, start paying attention to the dreams you see when you sleep, take notes, and learn how to interpret them according to the scientific method of dream interpretation, which is the unique one that exactly translates their meaning.
The wise unconscious mind that produces your dreams is the best psychologist and counselor you could find!
You will be guided and cured without difficulty if you are only depressed or neurotic, but with some delay if you are already hysterical, psychotic or schizophrenic; however you will find relief and cure for sure, no matter what your problem is: you only need to trust your natural doctor.
Paintball Party Invitations – How You Can Get Them For Free
If you are organising a paintball event for your kids, friends or maybe just for just a party it always looks better if you send out a relevant invitation instead of an A4 sheet with writing. If you don’t have any experience with graphic design programs it won’t be practical to design these for yourself, so in this article I will outline how you can get professionally designed paintball flyers for free.
Free invitation Websites
Going to Google and typing “paintball invitations”, brought back thousands of websites that where either selling or giving away templates for paintball parties. An example of one of the websites that was giving away invitations for free was hooverdesign.com. They have a good template for a paintball party invitation that you can download for free as a PDF, and then modify with the partygoers names before printing off.
Use screen print and Paint
When going through websites and looking for invitations some of them will be paid and some of them for free. If you cannot download a design that you like, one technique you can use is do a screen print on your keyboard. You can find the screen print button in the top right hand corner of your keyboard. Press CTRL and this screen print button at the same time and this will save the image on your screen to your clipboard. After you do this open up a simple program like Microsoft paint and then “paste” (CTRL V), into the program and the picture on your screen will be an image in paint. You can then modify this and use it as you invitation.
Paintball company websites
The largest paintball companies typically host a lot of paintball parties each year, so a lot of them have professionally designed paintball invitations that you can download for free and send out to people who are attending your paintball parties. It is just a case of visiting the largest paintball company websites and then downloading these invitations.
With these easy steps you should be well on your way to getting your day of paintballing organised.
Paul’s Case – One Thematic Analysis
Paul’s Case is an interesting story regarding a person who lacked adequate representation against allegations. Paul was called before the faculty of Pittsburg High School to account for his alleged misdemeanors. During the inquisition, opening statements were made by teachers regarding his disorderly conduct and impertinence. They stated his troubles were enhanced by his hysterical and defiant behavior without stated facts. He was suspended during the previous week; thereafter, his father called the principal and confessed bewilderment about his son. The case against him was airtight and the preponderance of uncontested evidence not in his favor.
There is a well known cliche which states, “The man who represents himself in court has a fool for a client.” This was very evident in Paul’s Case. The volume of allegations caused him to slip downhill. His rebuttal was in the form of body language by being polite with a smile during the hearing, which they claimed come from insolence. Although he tried to be positive, his polite body language was viewed as negative. He didn’t have a counselor or an advocate in his defense to plead his case. They didn’t even allow him a chance to cross examine his accusers.
He was shunned as living in a world of fairytale. The color blue was used to depict him living in a world of fantasy. The yellow wallpaper in his room showed how he lived with caution in a world different from what he envisioned. He dreaded his father, whom he visualized with a gun on the top of the stairs waiting to shoot, when he crept in his home through a window after coming home late at night.
His artistic talent regarding acting, pantomime, and music were never recognized and groomed by a mentor into fruition as a career field to pursue. With a mother’s love which was missing, his talent would have been tutored and mushroomed into greatness. Eventually, the faculty and his father agreed that he was a bad case, which caused Paul to run away from home. His dad, who should have been the chief defense witness to protect his son, turned and joined the faculty-Paul’s Case was shattered!
Before leaving town, he stole a substantial amount of cash from his employer to live the life he had always envisioned and escaped to New York. While there he slept under Roman blankets in his eight-floor fabulous suite at the Waldrof. He shopped on Broadway and at Tiffany’s for exclusive clothing. The orchestral music of excellence at the Waldorf greeted him when he arrived for dinner. The resonate tinge of champagne, white linen, and being away from his hometown gave him the reassurance he would not be humiliated again. He met a freshman from Yale and had fun with other great people on the town. He enjoyed the peace and tranquility of the moment; however, he was sinking deeply into a condition of helplessness without having a positive advocate, mentor, or counselor to stop his downward drift.
While living high at the Waldorf the stolen cash captured the morning news. His father made restitution, travelled to New York, and was searching the joints to find him. As a result, images of his hometown fell upon him like black water. Consequently, his chances of any victory vanished. Nausea and depression set in and he stared at a revolver. His red carnation drooped like dripping blood and he buried the blossom in a grave of snow. The closing argument was building when he heard the train. When the verdict was rendered, he felt the impact and saw the disturbing images flashed into black. He had no chance for an appeal or rehabilitation-the cold teeth of retribution had sealed his fate.
Self Defense – Non Lethal Self Defense Weapons – Peace Of Mind
When I was growing up I remember my Aunt Kate and Uncle Harry, may they Rest in Peace. They were so nice to us kids. Seeing my cousins was fun too, but the best part of the visits was:
THE FOOD-omigosh could Aunt Kate cook-old school- none of that healthy stuff here. No worry about trans fats she used real fat.
THE OLD NATIONAL GEOGRAPHICS-they kept out in the garage by the stacks, thousands of them. I wonder if they ever got read?
THE OLD REVOLVER-in the attic. Uncle Harry bought it for protection. They lived in the country, kind of semi-remote.
I couldn’t ever quite grasp how that would work. If there was a problem, climb the stairs, dig thru the mess, find the gun, find the bullets, load the gun, “I’ll be right there Mr. burglar.” YEAH RIGHT!
I know he hid it up there so no one would get hurt but honestly there are other ways of feeling safe and secure at home. Self defense products such as stun guns and pepper sprays come to mind. They are the way to go when you don’t want a gun in the house.
Non lethal self defense weapons are easy to conceal, easy to carry, and some are disguisable. They are inexpensive and legal in all states. They are the way for you to get that warm fuzzy feeling for your safety and security.
I live in Colorado where there are no restrictions. A few states do have restrictions so check with your local police department.
So before you go buy a stun gun or pepper spray do some homework before you invest time and money into self-defense products. Figure out what you need, how to use that product, and the legality of it, or you may be getting into trouble.
Self defense products can get you out of a bad situation – there is no doubt about that. They can save your life, your money and provide you with peace of mind.
